Heat and Humidity!

Hello Mr. Heat and humidity!! Forgot what you felt like to run in… I planned on 8 -10 miles but quickly found out it wasn’t a good idea doing it at 4pm in 33 degree heat. I survived the run, barely, and managed to get in 8 miles… but I cheated… I completed 6 outdoors than headed to the gym to run an additional 2 on the treadmill. 8 total!

Acclimatizing to the heat is always a difficult task… Especially in a climate where the temperature goes from seasonal to extreme over night. I didn’t drink enough water throughout the day either… Experts say it take 14 days to acclimatize to the weather???

Hopefully going to get to run in the morning tomorrow. Should make for much more pleasant conditions… Got suckered into golfing with neighbours tomorrow afternoon and don’t think I am going to feel like running afterwards. We will see…

Cheers!

The first really humid days of summer are always such a rude awakening! Can you get really hot, humid weather all summer way up where you are, or is it mainly just July/ August?
